The Mitchelton Football Club caters for players of all ages, gender and ability, with 1257 active playing members kicking a ball around our club in 2016. No matter what your age, sex or level of skill we will have a team for you:

  • We have over 700 juniors playing at our club, including:
    • Mitchie Midgets (a program for 3 and 4 year olds);
    • MiniRoos Football teams (Under 6s to Under 11s);
    • Divisional age groups (Under 12s to Under 16s - boys, girls and mixed); and
    • Super Youth League (SYL) team (U12s, U13s & U15s).

  • Our Senior Womens program is one of the largest in Brisbane:
    • Our club plays in the Brisbane Womens Premier League (BWPL), which is the peak Womens competition in Brisbane(in 2016 we won the treble – league winners, grand final winners, and Elaine Watson Cup winners); and
    • We also have several teams in the Womens City League competition.

  • We have a very successful Senior Mens program at our club;
    • Our top mens teams have been very successful in recent years, culminating in promotion to the Trophy Superstore Brisbane Premier League for the 2015 season (in 2016 we came second in the league, were grand final runners-up, and won the Canale Cup competition);
    • We also have several senior mens teams playing in the City League competition.

  • Our Over 30s/Over35s/Over45s program is undoubtedly the largest in Brisbane with mens and womens teams playing in the Over 35s Football Competition:
    • Mitchie FC had two teams playing in the 2016 Over 30s womens competition, and we expect at least two teams to be playing in 2017; and
    • Our strong tradition in the mens competition continues with at least eight teams to play in Over 35s and Over 45s.

  • Outside of our regular season (which runs from February to September), we run a very successfull six-a-side competition (Summer 6s) from October to December every year:
    • It’s fast, fun and there’s an age group for everyone (U6 through to O35’s).
    • The competition will kick off in October and run for 10 weeks.

Our Plan For The Future

In 2013 we developed a strategic plan to set the vision and direction for the club. It provides an overview of what needs to be done to build on the achievements of the club’s previous 3 year plan. The new Plan for 2014 – 2018 provides a framework that will guide decision making over the next five years. It will provide focus and will enable the club to be pro-active about the future.

Some of the key highlights from the plan include:

Our Vision

The club is a prominent and respected community football club celebrated for its junior development initiatives, quality coaching programs, extensive facilities and inclusive and social atmosphere.
