Fundraising Art Union PDF Print E-mail

The club’s major fundraising activity for the year is an Art Union. This year the Art Union will be drawn on Saturday 24th March at 6.45pm during the half-time break of our Premier League home game against Taringa Rovers.

Each Family within the Club is issued a book of 15 x $2 tickets which you pay for up-front with your fees. Tickets are normally issued to the oldest child in a family where families have more than one child playing. You can either choose to use the tickets yourself or sell them to others and you keep the proceeds.

First Prize is $3,000 cash, Second Prize an Aspinall Trailers Box Trailer, Third Prize a $1,000 gift voucher for use at Steve Jones Hardware and Landscape and Fourth Prize 12 Months Free Membership to Healthworks Fitness Centre at Everton Hills. There is also a prize for the family who sells the most books of tickets.

The proceeds of the raffle are always put back into the club by way of improved facilities, eg this season we upgraded the No.7 and No. 8 Junior fields.

Opens JULY 24th.

A 21st Century American teenager takes a spellbinding, dangerous journey into martial arts legend in the new action/adventure epic THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM.

Shot on location in China, THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM marks the historic first-ever onscreen pairing of martial arts superstars Jackie Chan (RUSH HOUR, DRUNKEN MASTER) and Jet Li (FEARLESS, ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA), and features the awe-inspiring action choreography of Woo-Ping Yuen (THE MATRIX, CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON).

While hunting down bootleg kung-fu DVDs in a Chinatown pawnshop, Jason Tripitikas (Michael Angarano - "24", "Will and Grace," LORDS OF DOGTOWN, SEABISCUIT) makes an extraordinary discovery that sends him hurtling back in time to ancient China .

There, Jason is charged with a monumental task: he must free the fabled warrior the Monkey King, who has been imprisoned by the powerful Jade Warlord. Jason is joined in his quest by wise kung fu master Lu Yan (Jackie Chan) and a band of misfit warriors including Silent Monk (Jet Li). But only by learning the true precepts of kung fu can Jason hope to succeed - and find a way to get back home. Opens JULY 24th.
