Important Training Information for U8, U9 & U10 Players PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 06 February 2011

newitem  Due to the factors of newly grassed fields and the constant wet weather, Mitchie FC has closed all training on these areas until the end of March. It is important that these fields become fully established before play can resume. After such an expensive outlay for this upgrading, I am sure you understand this situation.

So, to accommodate these age groups, pre-season training is to be held on 'the hill' which is field No 4, and beyond the cricket pitch. It is also important to note that training will be held on Sunday mornings from 27 February 2011.

There will also be an introductory session for coaches and managers on Sunday 20 February 2011. (Click here or "read more" for more information)

START OF TRAINING - Training for all U8, U9 & U10 players will commence on Sunday, 27 February as per the following schedule:

  • U8 8.30 to 9.30 am
  • U9 9.30 to 10.30 am
  • U10 10.30 to 11.30 am

This schedule will continue until fields are ready for night training. Then times will be as per 'Welcome Book':

  • U8 Monday 5.30 to 6.30 pm - fields 7,8 & 9
  • U9 Wednesday 5.30 to 6.30 pm - fields 7,8 & 9
  • U10 Thursday 5.30 to 7.00 pm - fields 7, 8 & 9

COACHES AND MANAGERS SESSION  - To assist with team coaching and organisation could all those interested please attend on Sunday, 20 February at 9.00am for the following:

  • Introductory session for coaches and managers to outline training program.
  • Compile U 8 & 9 team list of players, and start of grading with U10s.
  • Issue equipment - balls, cones and bibs in preparation for training.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. I am looking forward to great 2011 football season. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me directly via email ( This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it )
