  Coach and Managers information sessions will be held at the Mitchie FC clubhouse nightly from Monday 21 March to Thursday 24 March from 6.00pm.

All training has now reverted to this schedule.

We have been advised by Jimboomba Turf that we need to be mindful that the surface is still very new and if the fields do get wet and/or boggy then we will need to stay off them. We will try to advise with as much notice as possible if the fields are closed for Training. Coaches are instructed to do any shuttle runs etc off the playing surface. We will be keeping a very close eye on this.

Thanks again for your patience. The committee is asking that all players, parents and coach and managers to do all possible to minimise any damage to playing surfaces. When walking to fields please go around not accross. ie do not cross field one to get to field 2.

  A reminder that the annual Mitchie FC Jersey Presentation Night for all Senior Mens Teams will be held TONIGHT, Wednesday 2 March 2011 at the Pig n Whistle, Eagle Street, Brisbane. Proceedings will kick off at 7.00pm.

Thanks for your patience while our fields were being renovated.

Firstly I would like to say a very big welcome to all Mitchelton FC members. Those returning players as well as the new, their parents and carers plus our wonderful team of Coaches, Managers and helpers. What a start to the new season. Our thoughts go out to all those touched by the recent events and to our friends out there in clubland, some losing everything that they have worked very hard to set up.

You also have my thanks...thank-you for your patience and understanding whilst we all await the openning of our newley refurbished fields. We, the committee are asking for your continued patience ... just a little longer. The recent weather has led to major delays to our extensive ground improvements. As soon as Jimboomba Turf give us the green light that the fields are ready for use....we will let you all know.

Over 35s Football is a new competition for over 35 and 45 footballers and will commence its' maiden season in the autumn/winter of 2011 involving teams from the inner and northern suburbs of Brisbane.

The purpose of Over 35s Football is to provide football players over the age of 35 years an opportunity to play local football, predominately on a Friday night in a relaxed, social environment with mates.

The Mitchie Over 35s have commenced training on Wednesday nights from 7.30pm. There are also teams looking for players in the Pine Hills, Albany Creek, Westside, Virgina, North Star, Toowong and Redcliffe areas. If any one knows of anyone interested we can also pass their details onto respective clubs.

The Mitchie FC Women's Division 3 team require a goalkeeper. Specialist goalkeeper training will be provided. Training is Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm.

   We wish to advise on behalf of the Jones Family that Edna Jones passed away on Sunday 13 February 2011. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Family.

Edna was a well known supporter of the Mitchelton Football Club through her husband Tom Jones, who served as Secretary for many years in the 1960s/70s and Edna volunteered in many capacities as a member of the Women's Auxilary Committee.

Edna’s children, Les, Brenda, Alwyn, Kevin and Garth all played for Mitchelton FC, along with Grandchildren Adam and Matthew.

The funeral will be held at Albany Creek Crematorium, Lakeview Chapel, Friday 18 February, 12 noon.

Mitchie FC is still looking for U16 BJL players and a goalkeeper. Trials are continuing this Sunday from 9:00am until 1030am at Teralba Park. 

Expressions of interest also being sought for U16 BJL Coach.

  Mitchie FC is holding it's annual "Rec Day" for Senior & Youth players this Saturday 11 February 2011 from 8.00am. Players & club officials involved should click here to see the schedule for the day.

If you missed our sign-on weekend and you haven't yet registered, don't worry. Mitchie FC will be accepting registrations throughout the rest of February 2011.Our registrars will be present at the Mitchelton Football Club at Teralba Park on the Tuesday and Wednesday nights for the rest of February.

Prepare for sign-on by completing the online registration process ahead of time. It's easy and will reduce the amount of time you'll need talking to our registrars when you come to the club to sign-on.

  Due to the factors of newly grassed fields and the constant wet weather, Mitchie FC has closed all training on these areas until the end of March. It is important that these fields become fully established before play can resume. After such an expensive outlay for this upgrading, I am sure you understand this situation.

So, to accommodate these age groups, pre-season training is to be held on 'the hill' which is field No 4, and beyond the cricket pitch. It is also important to note that training will be held on Sunday mornings from 27 February 2011.
