  Trials for the following teams will continue this coming Sunday 30 January 2011 from 9:00am to 11:00am:

• U12 Division 1, U13 BJL, U14 BJL and U16 BJL

Final trials and squads announced on Sunday 6 February 2011:

• 9:00am to 10:30am - U12 Division1 and U13 BJL
  

• 10:30am to 12:00pm - U14 and U16 BJL

  U21 / Premier Youth Training will be at Bracken Ridge again this Tuesday 25 January from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

The location will be the Bracken Ridge Indoor Sports (tennis courts behind the main centre),  337 Bracken Ridge Road, Bracken Ridge - phone 32612666.  (Click here for location details).Remember this is an outdoor all weather surface, please bring the appropriate footwear. The cost will be $5.00 (may be less).

  The committee is requesting help to assist with the Club "sign on weekend" which is being held at the following times:

• Saturday 5 February -  9.00am to 4.00pm

• Sunday 6 February -  9.00am to 1.00pm.

  The Mitchelton Football Club sign-on is usually held on the last weekend in January. However, due to recent events the Committee has decided to reschedule the sign-on weekend to 5 and 6 February 2011:

• Saturday 5 Feb - 9.00am to 4.00pm

• Sunday 6 Feb - 9.00am to 1.00pm

Mitchelton Football Club has finalised the 2011 player registration fees. The main difference this year is the inclusion of the members fund raising levy into the players registration fee and the inclusion of a complete new playing strip which can be kept by all players. The additional charge for the members levy has been abolished along with all EFTPOS fees.

The Management Committee have looked closely at the ever increasing costs of providing the facilities and services at Mitchelton and feel that our new fees represents a fairer cost structure to all members. This new method of charging will impact on some families who have two or more family members who play at MFC, however we would like to point out that the current fee structure still offers over 20% discount to families who have a second or third junior player.

MFC registration fees offer good value for money and are at the lower end of the scale compared to other clubs.

  I wish to advise all training is cancelled at Mitchie FC until Saturday 22 January 2011.  

ALL areas, including the field near Osborne Road and field 4 are closed.

Teams wishing to train should make arrangements off site eg indoor training facilities.

I can understand coaches frustrations, however, with Qld under flood with loss of life, when put into prospective missing a few training sessions is extremely minor.

We had some teams train this week which has damaged the limited training areas available. I ask that you consider all club members when making these decisions.

  Please note that BJL U13,U14 and U16 BJL Trials will be held at Teralba Park, Mitchelton on Sunday the 16th, 23rd and 30th of January 2011.The Under 12 Div 1 Trials will also be held on the same days. 

The trials will be from 09.00am until 11.00am and will be held on Field 5 (near the cricket pitch).

The Mitchie FC Division 1 and Division 1 Reserves will again be competing in this years Pine Hills Pre-season Tournament. Both sides play their opening games on Tuesday 18 January 2011 at Wendy Allison Park, Strathpine, with the Div 1 boys kicking off at 8.30pm.

The Tournament continues throughout January, with finals to be played on 4 & 5 February 2011. You can see the complete schedule by clicking on the link in the 2011 Fixtures section which is in the right hand column of this page. Come out an support the boys if you can.  

PaulyTV.com.au is an independently operated website that broke new ground in 2010 by showing weekly Match Highlight Packages for up to 3 games per round of the Football Brisbane “Veto Premier League”. 

In 2011, Pauly TV will be back again and this time they'll be including highlights from the Mens Premier Division One (which Mitchie FC play in) and the Womens Premier League.

  The Mitchie FC Metro Mens trials which were due to be held last Saturday 11 December 2011 were washed out because of the torrential weather conditions. 

The trials have now been rescheduled to Saturday 18 December 2010. The trials will begin at 4pm and finish at around 7pm.

Have you been down to Teralba Park lately? Well, fields 1, 2 and 8 were looking quite bare for a while as they were being prepared for the laying of new turf.

But the the job has now been completed, and the fields look great. If all continues to go to plan, we are going to have some exceptional playing fields in 2011.

The Annual General Meeting for the Mitchelton Sports Club has been set for Tuesday 7 December 2010 at 7pm. The meeting will be held at our Clubhouse, Teralba Park, Osborne Road, Mitchelton. 

All members are encouraged to attend. 

Training times for all teams have been finalised for the 2011 season with little change from the 2010 season. Please note that with the improved lighting available on field No.2 and to limit the wear and tear on that field, we will have 2 training fields running east west set up across field 2.
