AIA Vitality MiniRoos Kick-Off program

  newitem  Do you know any children aged 4-9 who have never played Football before and may be looking to give it a try?


Mitchelton Football club is pleased to announce we are an approved site for Football Federation Australia (FFA) AIA MiniRoos Kick-Off initiative.


This program gives children aged 4 to 9 who have never played football the opportunity to experience our game in an enjoyable, friendly environment. There are two programs available:


4 - 6 Year Olds
  • Will be run on Tuesday afternoons from 4pm
  • Starts on Tuesday 2 June 2015
  • Will run for 8 weeks (program will break for 2 weeks during the schools holidays)
  • Is available to male and female participants. 
  • Cost $120 for the full program

7 - 9 Year Olds

  • Will be run on Thursday afternoons from 4pm
  • Starts on Thursday 4 June 2015
  • Will run for 8 weeks (program will break for 2 weeks during the schools holidays)
  • Is available to male and female participants.
  • Cost $120 for the full program

All participants will receive an AIA Vitality MiniRoos Participant Pack when they register for any AIA Vitality MiniRoos Kick-Off program. The pack includes some great items including your child’s very own AIA Vitality MiniRoos ball, a bag, drink bottle, stickers and posters!

Additional Junior Discount Form Now Available

newitem  The Mitchelton Football Club offers a discount of $50 for each additional junior player registered at the club. To be eligible to receive the discount, all players must be from the same family, and be registered as juniors (midgets to Under 16) in 2015.


The reimbursement form for this discount is now available.

Referee Payment Changes for U12 to U16

Please note that Football Brisbane has changed the referee payment process for all U12 to U16 Divisional competitions.  The home team is now responsible for paying all referee fees.

New Rules:

  • 8.7 Match Officials' Fees
    • The team manager is required to supply the correct fees to the Match Officials at least 15 minutes prior to the match together with their Match Sheet.

  • 8.7.1 All Competitions
    • Fixtures - fees are paid by the Home club
    • Qualifying, Semi and Preliminary Finals - fees will be shared equally by competing teams. 
    • Grand Finals - fees will be paid by Football Brisbane

2014 President's Report & AGM Results

newitem  The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Mitchelton Sports Club Inc was held on Wednesday 3 December 2014 at Teralba Park.


During the meeting club President, Roger McIntosh, delivered his annual report for 2014. The report higlighted the fact that the club has enjoyed a very successful year both on and off the field, with the report focussing on football achievements, improvements in our facilities, enhanced coaching programs and our increasing community profile.

The meeting also saw the election of the 2015 Management Committee, with all six positions up for election as is normally the case. Committee positions were filled by the following members:


  • President - Roger McIntosh

  • Secretary - Heidi Kilpatrick

  • Treasurer - Carlo Terribile

  • Senior Football Director - Damion Jabs

  • Junior Football Director - Pedr Kilpatrick

  • Womens Football Director - Susan Kelly


Roger sincerely thanked Adam Pilat for his years of dedicated service to the club both as a player and Senior Football Director. Adam decided not to renominate for the Senior Football Director's role, but will still be hanging around the club and helping out where he can. Welcome to Damion Jabs who was elected to take over this role. Damion will be assisted by Tony Benardi.

Wet Weather Procedures

Match Days - To see if matches have been cancelled due to wet weather:

  1. Check the Football Brisbane website (click here to visit the site) which provides up to the minute information on ground closures for fixtures. This should be your first point of contact for all wet weather enquires;
  2. Check the Mitchie FC website for updates;
  3. Contact your team manager or coach;



Training Nights - To see if training has been cancelled because of bad weather:

  1. We will endeavour to post field closures on the Mitchie FC website between 4pm - 5pm;
  2. If this information is not available it is important that ONLY Managers call the Club to determine whether training has been cancelled.
  3. It is then the responsibility of the Manager to contact their respective teams.
