Mitchelton Football Club is now welcoming expressions of interest from dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified coaches to be part of our Academy coaching team in 2027. We also have opportunities to support player development in our 'Pathway' (Pre-Academy) program.
Academy coaches need a valid Blue Card and at least an Advanced ‘C’ Diploma by the end of 2026. We are particularly keen to hear from coaches who would like to progress their current qualification.
We would also like to hear from people at the beginning of their coaching journey e.g. with a ‘Foundation of Football’ certificate, looking to assist and develop as a coach.
Please click the 'REGISTER NOW' button and complete the form to log your interest. We would also like to see a session plan you've previously delivered and would be prepared to conduct, if requested, as part of the application process.
You can email the session plan separately to Sam Griffin - technical.director@mitchiefc.org.au - and contact him at the same address, if you have any further questions.
Lead by our Head of Goalkeeping Caleb Smith, private goalkeeper training offers personalized, focused coaching that helps players rapidly improve their skills, technique, and confidence. Unlike team sessions, one-on-one or two-on-one training allows goalkeepers to receive tailored feedback, work on specific weaknesses, and develop advanced strategies suited to their level and goals. This targeted approach often leads to faster development and better performance during games.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Football Australia 2 Star Club Changer achievement! ⭐⭐
The Club Changer program identifies opportunities within community clubs to improve and advance the experience of women and girls engaging with our sport. To achieve this recognition, the Club has worked hard behind the scenes to put in place the systems and frameworks needed to continue supporting the growth of women’s football at Mitchie.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement.
