If you are an **existing Mitchelton FC player**, who would like to remain in our Academy Program in 2027, or join one of our Academy or Pre-Academy teams in 2027, please register an ‘Expression of Interest’ below. This is necessary, even if offered retention. A timetable of our subsequent ID sessions is available via the 'More Info' button.
We appreciate there is also already interest in joining the MFC Academy Program from people who are currently registered with another club, but unfortunately the regulations mean we are not allowed to begin the process for these external players until 21st September 2027. We suggest you set a reminder to submit your interest on that date, because the window for doing so for external players will be short this year; Academy trials will commence in early October 2026.
Our trials are by invitation-only post EOI and cover the following age groups:
Trials will also be held for places in the Pre-Academy teams below. You can log interest in our Pre-Academy today, whether an existing member or not. This is also necessary if you wish to be considered for a Pre-Academy team in the event of an unsuccessful Academy application.
If you have questions, please contact our Technical Director, Sam Griffin – technical.director@mitchiefc.org.au

Mitchelton Football Club is now welcoming expressions of interest from dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified coaches to be part of our Academy coaching team in 2027. We also have opportunities to support player development in our 'Pathway' (Pre-Academy) program.
Academy coaches need a valid Blue Card and at least an Advanced ‘C’ Diploma by the end of 2026. We are particularly keen to hear from coaches who would like to progress their current qualification.
We would also like to hear from people at the beginning of their coaching journey e.g. with a ‘Foundation of Football’ certificate, looking to assist and develop as a coach.
Please click the 'REGISTER NOW' button and complete the form to log your interest.
Lead by our Head of Goalkeeping Caleb Smith, private goalkeeper training offers personalized, focused coaching that helps players rapidly improve their skills, technique, and confidence. Unlike team sessions, one-on-one or two-on-one training allows goalkeepers to receive tailored feedback, work on specific weaknesses, and develop advanced strategies suited to their level and goals. This targeted approach often leads to faster development and better performance during games.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Football Australia 2 Star Club Changer achievement! ⭐⭐
The Club Changer program identifies opportunities within community clubs to improve and advance the experience of women and girls engaging with our sport. To achieve this recognition, the Club has worked hard behind the scenes to put in place the systems and frameworks needed to continue supporting the growth of women’s football at Mitchie.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement.
