I'm a Player

Playing at Mitchie this season? Here's what you need to know:

Field locations
Most divisions play at home and away throughout the season.

  • Playing away? Click here to find details about the team and fields at which you’re playing.

Fixtures and results
Need to know when you’re playing? Want to see where your team is on the ladder?
  • Football Brisbane comp results can be found here.
  • Football Queensland comp results can be found here.
  • Interested in all Mitchie teams? A results round up can be found here during the season. Note: this round up is taken from SportsTG and as such, might not have all results (results won’t appear if team managers haven’t entered them into the system).

Player FFA insurance
Registered and paid up players are insured for personal injury under the FFA National Insurance Programme. Whilst the plan provides basic levels of cover for players and others participating in football, it is not all encompassing (this is necessary to keep the cost of insurance affordable for players) and does not seek to replace the need for private health and other insurances. Find out more about insurance here

Code of Behaviour
All Senior and Junior Players, Spectators, Coaches, Managers and Parents are required to follow the Club’s Code of Behaviour. For players, this means you should:
  • Play by the rules.
  • Never argue with an official.  If you disagree, have your captain, coach or manager approach the official during a break or after the competition.
  • Control your temper.  Verbal or physical abuse of officials or other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent is not acceptable or permitted in any sport.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team.
  • Be a good sport.  Applaud all good plays whether they are by your team or the opposition.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player.
  • Co-operate with your coach, team mates and opponents. Without them there would be no competition.
  • Play for the fun of it, and not just to please parents and coaches.

Nutrition and training
Balanced nutrition and training are vital to succeed on the pitch. Football Brisbane have a nutrition and training guide that might be of use to help you eat right and train hard!

Sing when you’re winning
Breaking out into song is common after a big win! Make sure you know the Mitchie song before taking the field.
